Andy Walker

Andy Walker, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, grew up playing all sports.  Andy was an All-American junior, high school, and collegiate golfer.  In his career spanning two decades, he has won over 150 tournaments – highlighted by three collegiate wins and over 18 professional victories.

Andy’s biggest thrills in golf include winning the 1997 NCAA Championship while at Pepperdine University and becoming a member of the Nationwide Tour.  A teacher who not only knows the swing but as a tour player (2004-2005 Grey Goose/Gateway Tour), Andy specializes in teaching students effective tournament preparation as well as teaching valuable techniques for better scoring.

In 2005, Andy had won 10 professional golf tournaments.  During the Grey Goose Gateway Tour, he came from 3 shots back and carded a final round 64 to shoot a total of 21 under and won by 3 shots. Andy finished third at the Grey Goose Gateway Tour Championship, which is quite an accomplishment.

February 2006, Andy finished second in a Grey Goose Gateway Tour event shooting 13 under par (67-69-67).

The Kent Chase Golf Academy is proud of Andy Walker’s endeavors.  Andy is an excellent addition to our team of professional instructors.
